iPhone App Can Help Your Golf Swing!
By Rony Muzz
Who ever thought than an iPhone App could help someone get a hole in one? Well, my friend who was using his gizmo iPhone app. This app that he used got the job done and recommended the correct club: A 4 hybrid at the 7th hole. His phone displayed for him a screen shot of the 5 nearest club options before he selected his club.
The app that he used offers an exclusive Hole In One Odds Calculator according to your ball striking skill level. Amazing. It shows how to aim the shot or open/close the club face, and optionally the hole-in-one odds for your ball striking skill level. There is a GPS on this app that knows images of every golf course worldwide.
For 22 years, the Hilltown Sportsmans Club in Hazleton, PA has been gathering for annual golf outings. The ball was in the cup! It also helps golfers see the course lay out better, avoid hazards, and score birdies or even an ACE when the right club is used. If you’re guessing what club to use, try downloading one of the hottest, latest new apps to your phone. An iPhone app can make the difference!
Golf GPS – Turn Your Smartphone Into It.
There are some great applications that can turn your mobile phone or smartphone device into a golf GPS. Many have free trial periods (or are totally free!). GreenFinder works on Blackberry, iPhone 3G, Android, and Windows Mobile phones. It gives you distances to the front, center, and back of the green, as well as distances to fairway hazards and the distance of your last shot. You can even map your own courses with the GreenFinder golf GPS.
GolfShot works only on the iPhone 3G and is comparable to any of the standalone golf gps devices. With the iPhone’s touchscreen capability you can pinpoint any spot by touching it: GolfShot will calculate the distances from your current position to that spot and from that spot to the center of the green.
It shows distances to green, fairway hazards, and special layups. FreeCaddie Pro works on Blackberry, iPhone 3G/3GS, Windows Mobile, and Java enabled phones. Other features include a shot distance function, the ability to map your own points, scorekeeping, and statistical analysis.
